H-Poo questions for the pros.

I have a couple of questions about the following tek.
http://www.shroomery.org/9376/Poo-with-Extras calls for the following inrgedients
From what i have read, u shouldn't pressure cook poo. I want to use poo with my casing method but dont care anything about pasteurizing. Here is my issue: I'd like to mix all of these ingredients in the tek EXCEPT the poo, then pressure cook them, then inoculate, incubate, and colonize. After that can i then crumble this up and mix with H-poo that i bought ALREADY pasteurized? Is this possible? I plan to use a 50/50 or 60/40 casing? Would i need to allow this new mixture to colonize in the incubator before fruiting?
Thanks for any help or advice. Is there any other way i might use pre-pasteurized pooa?

That recipe is intended for fruiting, not spawning. If you want to spawn to pasteurized manure, save yourself some trouble and use wbs or rye, colonize the grain and spawn to the poo. There's not much point in making those complicated bags to use for spawn.

Is the wbs sterilized first? If you mix unsterilized wbs with poo, it will be sprouting in a few days.

Of course it's sterilized, all I'm saying is he'd be better off making spawn and using that then spawning with a bulk substrate.

I think those are supposed to be all in one substrate bags and may be used like this thread.
I could be wrong but I think you can knock up the substrates directly and fruit them in vitro.

I think there is some confusion on this thread and this site with the difference of spawn, casing, and casings. Spawn is a growing medium that is used to inoculate a bulk substrate(h-poo). Wbs is a good spawn material. It can also be used directly for fruiting which confuses the issue. If fruiting with wbs alone or with a bulk substrate that has been inoculated(mixed)with the spawn then you may want to ad a casing layer to help it grow and fruit better. This casing layer can be many things usually nonnutrative in nature like peat and vermiculite. When this is done you have casings. I know it sounds confusing especially now that coir which was once thought to be nonnutrative started showing up in bulk substrates as well as casing materials. But enough of my rant. Trout

If you are making that mix in spawnbags skip the hydrated lime (because it is being sterilized and colonized in a sterile bag there is no need to correct the pH to protect from contams) and pressure cook.
Because it is going to be in a bag there is no problem if you sterilize the poo. Sterilized poo will contaminate very easy though, if you use it in the normal way (pour in a tray or monotub and mix with spawn) which is why we pasteurize it.
There was a post a few months ago in the advanced cultivation forum asking about this same mix, you should check it out.
