Psychadelic Euphoria

Psychadelics have created quite possibly the most intense euphoria that I've felt in my entire life, on numerous occasions. Far more intense than cocaine or morphine or anything else that I've tried (haven't dabbled in heroin or meth and don't want to).
I recall one of my recent trips where I was lying on a couch listening to wonderful music, tripping hard on acid. Three friends in the room, and we were all melting into the room and each other. It was the most intensely blissful, euphoric state. Almost "painfully" euphoric if there is such a thing, almost too much to take in. This went on for several hours. I could not stop smiling... the muscles in my face were hurting from my fixed, ceaseless grin.
I could describe several other experiences but I'm interested in hearing yours. How and when have you experienced psychadelic euphoria?

One while lying on Ayahuasca a rushing pulling sensation ceaselessly pulled me through an infinitely dark black void of completely overpowering euphoria. It had to have been what Zen attempts to achieve, returning the the infinite source of nothingness. It was the ultimate calm...
-------------------- Teonanacatl, open up my eyes This sacrament, this prayer, beyond the world of lies Guide me clearly through that which I dont understand Give me strength to find the path Help me fight any demons as you flow through me wholely This is my prayer, that you protect me from evil, and bring me closer to peace And open up my eyes, so i can see things as you do Amen

I haven't tried any opiates or many hard drugs, but it's hard for me to see how anything could be more euphoric than LSD or Mescaline and cannabis.

iv had people describe E to me as "the best feelings you ever feel on mushrooms all night" wich i guess might make sence for some. i have never taken e but indeed i do understand the tremendous power mushrooms hold. sme times i get little "sparks" in my head. i can actualy feel them in my brain. and they trigger immense pleasure and all my visuals peak in intesity for a moment of 2 its truly overpowering. i have been knoced to by knees by the sparks drivin to tears all sorts of stuff

E makes sparks in the brain too But psychadelics just feel so much healthier to me, especially afterward. After a good trip my brain feels cleansed and healthier. After a good roll my brain feels tired and stupid.

yup, I love the psychedelic euphoria because it is in a sense "real" - derived from intense realization rather than directly tickling pleasure centers like opiates. For me it tends to last for days in the afterglow.
I remember the first time I really broke through on acid, I could not wait to come down, sleep, and wake up straight. I knew that the experience was more than just a drug, and that confirmation would come when I was back to baseline and realized the reality of what I had experienced. Sure enough, when I woke up I remembered what I had learned and was even more ecstatic than when I was on the trip!

During my extended meditation retreats (sometimes a day, sometimes a week, sometimes assisted with a little LSD ) is when psychedelic euphoria is at its peak. The joy of touch, the feel of the light air gently moving over my face, the sensations of the body as it sits perfectly balanced in zazen. There is an indescribable joy in the very fact that I am aware of this. It is nothing I would associate with the beauties of the trip, as the substance itself only seems to set the phenomenological roulette wheel in motion. Its easy to see when the moment is always changing.
Many times when I have sat through the whole experience, I continued sitting until many hours after the effects had worn off. Watching the clear sky cloud over, watching how the light remains the same no matter how the clouds obscure the view, is a constant reminder of this bliss.
It is in the realization that I am realizing anything at all. In essence, psychedelics are a confirmation of life. A reminder what it means to be alive. It is in this very moment that the psychedelic euphoria is at it's peak.
Clouds fill the sky. Then it is sunny. Where did the sun come from?
