Living Like a Squatter

I'm at school now enjoying the wonders of these new world conveniences such as "Electricity", "Climate Control", "Running Hot Water", and "The Internet".
For those of you who read That I was arrested and evicted, I finished moving into my new place after floating around, There is no hot water, the roof leaks, I don't have electric yet, and my internet comes from my cellular phone, yet I'm happier than ever!
I would like to say that, thanks to a bad trip and some realization about myself over the summer, I can now bear to live in these conditions. I used to want all kinds of things, thinking they would make me happy, or cool, i used to have a very low self esteem, and all this fell on me one day, I used my trip to change my outlook on life making the best of every situation. The cold pizza stored in a garbage bag in the snow on my fire escape, the beer right next to it, and the drinking and smoking with close friends in candle light and playing poker. I'm loving life in a way my parents said I would never make it!
I just want to let everyone out there know that Taking it easy and enjoying life for every moment is the true path to happiness. Cold pizza does get old though, but drink another beer and forget about it! I'm going to be a little sad when my electric is turned on and I go back to wasting my time playing video games, I may just go to the fuse box and turn it all off.

I actually have, I think after college I may make a trip around the country, preferably with hippies. I'm not as happy stuck in one place as some people are, but I make the best of things and I have an overactive inner child. I was considering visiting the rainbows in florida next february, so I want electric so i can properly cultivate festivities for the trip.

glad to hear you can appreciate what you have. with electricity though you have the ability to heat food again. you don't have to go back to being a gamer if that's not who you want to be anymore.
good luck for the future anyway, hope ya keep your optimism.

Well im paying to live like a squatter, thats why i said "live like a squatter" im renting. But i can't wait to get electric and fire up my guitar and some music, and get some neat tapestries from a local headshop and make a nice chill atmosphere. Atmosphere is something I will pay for.

sounds liberating....
I like my computer, stocked fridges/freezers with all sorts of delicious meat to be cooked, warm pizza at a blink of an eye, an assortment of beer and liquors randomly placed all over my house.
I wish I could live like that... Fight club styles!
cheers

Haha, Pennsylvania and the amish. If you do not live in penn's woods, you assume we are all amish! I would enjoy hot water, taking cold showers is not my favorite thing in the world, and I enjoy hygiene. I spend a lot of time at school and work, so my time relaxing at home is what i make of it. You gotta make the best of your situation, anyone is welcome to visit for pizza beer and cards though

Can you get me some too? I don't like mushrooms though. Unless they're the kind. Maybe call up Dominoes and ask them if you can get cubensis mushrooms on your pizza.
