Anybody seen the Magellan Triton 2000? Pretty amazing little gps. I like the flashlight. These are the first to be compatible with National Geographics' TOPO! Maps , which looks like some nice mapping software, but the reviews have been average to poor.
Why don't these companies just throw in cell phone, video camera, and media player capabilities and smoke the competition.
None of the GPS's seem to incorporate built in storage of any capacity. Some allow SD cards or MicroSD, but you are stilled limited to what 4 or 8GB of storage? The Bushnell Onix 400 allows satellite weather imaging but has a measly 128 mb imbedded memory!
Where is our 30-160 GB of storage so we can store a good portion of media, pictures and music. Why not a 2 way radio as well.
They are still sweet and I think I'd go with the triton, but I'm just saying, they could do better. Do companies drag their feet on advancements to milk the consumer of money or what?
I have an old Garmin GPSMAP 76, I hardly use it. It's huge.

I just got this for someone as a gift, it's a Garmin Etrex Vista HCx, pretty sweet.
