Can I still mist at this stage?

Just 3 days after dunk + roll and placing my cakes in the FC, I found a surprise earlier today.. Since my RH isn't the greatest (94%) I mist the cakes once a day. I did a search before posting this but found 2 schools of thought that claimed total opposite, hence yet another question for everyone to chime in over.. Just so everyone knows, I feel like a tool asking this
Can I still mist these cakes now that I have this?

Once pins are formed you are fine. Just fan well after misting.
If I recall correctly water droplets are bad for hyphal knots, not pins.

I personally am in the pinning stage on my first grow as well. I still mist the cakes and fanning is done by a cpu fan. When i quit misting when i first saw pins, my pins seemed to dry and cracked the next day so i plucked the split ones and continued to mist once again. I am on my 4th day Pinning and almost have whole shrooms!

these are Palenque and Colorado in my automated FC in the first pic, and two Ban Hua Thanon cakes in a manual FC (FAE, Rh and Moisture depends on me)in the next two pics

Mist all you need to keep the verm moist. It's important that the pins don't sit there wet, so be sure to increase fresh air after misting until any water on the fruits has been evaporated or absorbed. RR

listen to double r. You folks need to mist. These post where people say not to mist need to be deleted.
Perlite will only keep your rh up, it will not increase your casing moisture level. A high rh will slow the drying process of the casing but will not bring the casing back to the proper moisture level. Only misting wil do this

Thanks! I'll continue misting at least once a day. I have air stones under my perlite connected to a 60 gal air pump so that's providing FAE 24/7 which should help dry the pins. I just noticed some growth on my other cakes as well, definitely excited.

dry the pins?? wait wait wait. You want the pins shiny with moisture. The cultivation forum needs an overhaul!!!

Pins can be wet as long as they have plenty of air flowing. If the grower is using an old style terrarium that's all closed up, wet pins are asking to abort. I'd prefer to mist, and then let them dry off between mistings. RR

I agree but I am noticing that some people confuse this with dry, water is not to touch the mushrooms. A pool or drops of water stuck between mushrooms can be bad. You can get the blotch and it is no fun to watch your mushrooms dissolve in front of your eyes
