only inoculation 1 site, how much of a delay?

I had 8 1 pint jars going for about 2 weeks, as a backup I made 24 1/2 pint jars however I'm low on Spore solution. I only inoculated 1 of 4 sites on each of the 24 jelly jars?
How long do you think they would take to colonize? 4 weeks?
Just curious
Thanks guys

yeah that sounds about right, usually it will take quite a bit longer if there is only one inoculation point.

24 jars, good lord what's a lot of jars... Honestly, you're going to need quite a few fruiting tubs setup to handle all those guys. Anywho, just wanted to suggest an incubator to help speed up colonization. TiT incubators are very easy and effective. Two tubs, aquarium heater, water, maybe a towel. Sorry if you already know this...
Oh yea, did you inoculate from the middle or one of the sides? I read that inoculating from the middle is a good idea, even if you're doing the regular 4 point innoculations.
Knocking up a side will probably work just fine too. Just need to make sure it doesn't take forever to fully colonize your jars which allows more time for contams to set in.

I'd recommend using an LC if you're low on spores. There are a lot of good teks on it. I used nothing more than a single jar, water, a few drops of honey, and made several syringes out of 1cc off spore solution, and only had to wait a week or so. The risk for contams goes up a little, especially if the LC itself gets ugly, but it's much more efficient if you can pull it off.

yeah, having an LC go bad, but not realizing it until after you shoot up 18 jars, sucks.

Which is why you should always test your LC on a single jar first.
