Undiscovered Strains?

I keep seeing new strains popping up on different spore sites. I dont mean the fake ones with made up names. Are there undiscovered strains of psilocybin mushrooms out there?

There is still so much of the world that is undiscovered that it stands to reason that new species and strains are bound to exist..

You know how cubensis mushrooms are GT,B+,cambodian,ecuador,...ect...ect I think I mean strains. My mind runs wild sometimes. Sometimes I think there are undiscovered prehistoric mushrooms spores frozen in Antarctica. So my question is are there undiscovered mushroom strains somewhere remote in the world waiting to be discovered?

Golden teacher, B+, Pesa, Cambodian, are all strains of Psylocibe Cubensis species.
Psylocibe Cubensis, Psilocybe azurescens, Psilocybe cyanescens, Psilocybe subaeruginosa. , Panaeolus cyanescens and Panaeolus tropicalis are examples of different species of active fungi

Every time you inoculate something with spores you are creating a genetically unique strain.

Please do not hijack other peoples threads.
Only difference is that 1gr wet = 0.1gr dry. Some people say they prefer the trip from fresh, I like em all.

Thanks for clearing that up. I meant species.Sorry for so many questions. Im just so fascinated by the subject. So are different species of the same strain the same just with slightly different genetics?

You got that backwards, species = a population of creatures that can breed and produce fertile offspring. A strain is a variant within a species. So B+ can bread with golden teacher because they're both cubensis. But a cube cannot breed with a different species like cyans for instance.

It's quite likely, my response would be "we know less about our own oceans than we do outer space"
We have found hundreds of species of insects and animals in jungles and treacherous environments, and even more orchids.
The likelihood that there are undiscovered species of shrooms (and other organic drugs) is IMMENSE.
