It is a logical statement so it stands on his own. I already explained WHY it is so on my earlier posts in this thread.

you guys are somewhat ridiculous. Forgive me for having a job , im totally down for discussing this since i seem to be sooo wrong. Im not saying that my views are truth and im not claiming to have all the answers. Im just a regular guy that thinks about things. You all act as if youve been aware youre entire lives. Im fairly sure everyone remembers the time when they were asleep. We all had our turning points. Im not arrogant in any way, nor was i pissed off. Honestly i think you guys wanted me to be mad so you could say condescending things.

This is hilarious, but no one had anything to say about. Im assuming it's because a lot of them are just as conceited.

We are all asleep ALL OF US! It's a partial awakening at best IMO.

Look for a book called "In Search of the Miraculous" by P.D. Ouspensky
Also, the book "The Human Biological Machine as a Transformational Apparatus" by E.J. Gold is a great aid to understanding Gurdjieff's teachings.
One of the most important ways to "awaken the machine" is to pay close attention to your physical postures and movements.
There are very good reasons for this that I don't have time to go into right now...

Interesting, could you explain the reasons once you have time?

Well, for starters don't waste loads of time talking about the nature of truth with a bunch of other people over the internet. That is what puts you to sleep. Get up, get out and experience.

I call bullshit. This is just as valid of an "experience" as anything else you call up and out.

Try to think about your parts, your arms, your legs, hands, ect. Think of their parts, veins, muscles, connective tissues. Now think of the parts of those parts, protiens, fats, carbohydrates. Their parts? Carbon containing molecules. Their parts? Electrons, neutrons, protons. Their parts? Quarks, neutrinos, ect. And the parts of those parts and the parts of their parts ad infinitium. Once you get to the bottom, there aren't any more parts, just one whole, and this whole is you, and I, and your dog, and this planet. On that scale, it doesn't matter whether you are John Smith or Jupiter, the whole is homogeneous because it is everything, the embodiment of the perfect normal curve.
