isn't it too cold now? forgive my ignorance- all i know are cubes...
are they really some of the largest grassfarms out here? i thought every town was full of grass farms...

largest I know of anyway...
it's not too cold I don't think, but it's not time for 'em now. I've seen them in 60 degree weather recently, but the days before that were warmer so it may have just been that they were growing before and finished up as it got cold. I think it's just that the grass is in hibernation or whatever (brown and ugly) and they don't have enough nutrition to grow now.
when the grass starts to green up, they pop up again.

I found a couple subbs this last december, but not too many. Haven't really been looking lately, with this upper 30s temperatures at night, so-cal winters didn't used to be like this, i've just kinda given up for the time being.
