Excitied bout newest batch.

My newest grow since ive been lurking around shroomery once again, has be quite exciting. I grabbed some spores off ( that im very happy with b+, tc and cams ) I highly recommend them.
They are high quality spores made when I ordered them. This only 5 days of growth:
 [ b+ ]
Im currently workin up a batch of 27 pint jars. I had a 27/29 ratio, 2 had green mold... sneaky bastards even with a glove box, clean syringes, lysol, and pc'ing they still got in.

** rofl i kno the dates are wrong, but im far to lazy to set the date or remove it.

Bout 3-4 jars are around this stage. (outta 27)

The rest are like this and flipped upside down.. i wouldnt recommend doing this with jar not 100%. it may not even be a good idea reguardless, but ive seen good come outta flipping them, maybe something to do with FAE. idk maybe someone else has an opinion or fact about doing this?

Flipping has never really been proved to have benificial.
I remember someone doing a breif experiment on the subject and found there to be no difference, or very little to be worth it, however the experiment was not really valid due to the fact that it was a small number of pf jars, not enough results to be conclusive.
The general thinking i remember was that flipping aloud the co2 to sink to the bottom, whether or not this actually happens is kinda of unknown.
What might be valid is though, the substrate might have gotten a little packed at the bottom, by flipping it allows the substrate to come away from the sides removing some pressure from the substrate, but again theres never really been any conclusive experiments, as far as im aware.
You can certainly try it, its not going to cause any harm. I would suggest though once you flip upside down not to flip it again, as this could disturb the verm filter (which filters any pesky spores that may have made it in)
If a jar stals and shows no sign of moving, cut the uncolinised part of.

I might need to give this a try... Also, slight pink is always a bad sign. Can this but cut as well if the area has no growth?

I dont think i agreed with trying to save cakes by cutting parts off... I would rather start over with a jar then risk it containing contams, if not trace amounts of any toxins.

If the bottom of the cake is too wet and it slows down, you can dislodge the cake from the bottom of the jar. This can help one that's not going well, but I don't see the need to flip if you got the recipe right.

Let me repharse... I want to take the non fully conolized cakes and place them in a tossable FC outside. Therefore it cannot contaim. anything else. Might be a nice way to learn how bad pink mold can get. I see no problem with this, agreed?

Fruiting contam'd cakes isn't really a good idea, even outside. It might get really nasty in there, and you don't want to open your FC to check on it only to get a face full of pink mold spores.

How can putting a cake outside not make it contam?
Also, if a cake does not colonize 100% it is for a reason. Chuck em, or if you want to mess about with them by all means do so but don't expect results. If you do get them, count your lucky stars.
