Grabbed his (I guess it's kinda turning into their) newest album around when it came out because Pitchfork told me to (so sue me, I read Pitchfork), but just started really listening to it. I'm rather fond, and every listen gets me more into it. Anyone else like him?

Have you heard the EP where he performs with Calexico as his backing band? Sooooo good.

Shepherd's Dog is one of the best albums of the year!

All the Iron & Wine albums and EPs are well worth getting.

on the pitchfork tip - funny enough. they're never right about EVERYTHING, but they're never wrong about what's REALLY good either.

Iron & Wine is great.

If you like Iron & Wine you should really check out Nick Drake, he's excellent and the music is very similar. Drake put out three albums, all of which are amazing, and then offed himself. He wasn't particularly popular during his time but since his death in 74' his stuff has become more widespread. You may know of him through the song "Pink Moon", anyway i highly recommend him to anyone and everyone.

nick drake is a personal hero of mine. musically, at least. I draw tons of inspiration from him.
