6 Month Internet Ban a Success

I didn't exactly count the days, but I just signed on for the first time since May or June. The hardest part was not having ready access to porn, but I lived. I seriously doubt I'll ever go that long without ever again.

Welcome back.
So... why were you banned for 6 months?

wow...that actually sounds pretty hard. I don't think I would survive not going on the internet for that long. 95% of my entertainment has to do with the internet in some way.

It was self-inflicted. I wanted to try new things, like exercise. My lungs thank me

As far as I can remember, I've never been banned from the shroomery. I'm a real class act like that.

good job. i was thinking about doing the same thing.. but the only way it'd be possible is if i were to go out of the country. i'm thinking south america. somewhere with more distractions and less outside influence.

It was a move to a smaller town that sparked it for me. Back in the big city, it was probably necessary to "connect" or whatever the hell you want to call it.

most the time i just sit around my house and play instruments. but the temptation to get online once a night and check things out is too much.
i could always sell my computer and buy a new banjo.

The most I could get for my hunk of junk would be a new harmonica. Doesn't sound like such a bad idea

I don't know where I would be without my computer and the Internet. It's taught me so much more than I could have ever known.

I'd say one is solidly addicted when he gets into the 20,000 post range on any website. I couldn't get by. Its just so awesome to have such a vast amount of information available to me at anytime. Its astounding, really.

Unfortunately, I'll have to wait one more day or so before I can start updating my music collection. I only survived because I had a stockpile large enough to play for a month without repeat

It was nice using OINK on a 6MB/s connection. I could download more music in a day than I could handle.

Perhaps more interesting, I've also had a 12 week ban on crack. I miss the stuff much more than I ever missed the internet.
