Does anyone here make salsa? I make it all the time with tomatoes that grow wild near my house. my recipe is 3 fresh tomatoes, diced, 1/4th of chopped garlic, 1 table spoon of cilantro, 1 tablespoon of green onion, half an onion chopped, a pinch of sugar, 2 teaspoons of salt, a bit of hot pepper if I have any, and a teaspoon of chili powder. anyone have any of their own salsa recipes?

Thats just about my most regular recipe. I mix and blend and then add it to pico with a bit of hot sauce.

My favorite involves fire roasting peppers, peeling then and chopping them with some HOT HOT chillies and add some mango to calm it all down.
Good Stuff.

K, this is my boyfriend's recipe that I perfected - try it - it's tasty I promise. 1 can petite diced tomatoes (15 oz or so) one or two firm tomatoes 1 bunch cilantro 1/2 onion (I like red - white was original) 2-3 garlic cloves 1 jalapeno or serrano based on heat and flavor preference (include seeds/veins) salt and pepper to taste (about a tablespoon - start less) 1-1.5 tbsp of dried oregano I dice everything small; including the can of tomatoes. If you prefer pico style, let it sit for 4 hours or so. If you prefer less chunky, a few pulses in a blender will dice you ingrediends better and make it smoother. Alternatively if you want a little less juice for the pico style, you can partially drain the canned tomatoes first. I know it has variables, but anything in this spectrum is fantastic. Let me know if anyone tries it.

I personally prefer ratatouille to salsa, works well on pita bread.

This is my favorite salsa of all time.
The top one, haven't tried the other two, though I am intrigued immensely.
