Green mold on all cakes, please help
    #7739413 - 12/10/07 06:35 AM (16 years, 1 month ago)

I do my best to search forms before posting, but iam baffled guys.
My first and now second time around using, brown rice/verm, method, dunked and rolled, in a rubbbermaid terr. with perlite and holes in the tub, at about 75, Once or a little before pinning, my cakes have just abot all became contaminated with green mold. I thought that they were pretty resiliant once colonized with mycelium. I cant think of why it would behappenign, do you tihnk i may be birthing too early, or a problem with dunking and rolling, lack of sterality? i fan at least 3 times a day, so i know its getting fae, or not enough? any suggestions as to why the contamination seems to be happening in my terrarium, please help.

If you allowed them to remain in the jars one week after full colonization prior to birthing, it sounds like they were contaminated from the start, at inoculation. Dunking won't cause contaminants, and as you said, once fully colonized, they're resistant.
