What should I be looking for?
    #773799 -

Hey everyone,

Well its July and extremely hot here in South Eastern United States. I live in Alabama and it has been around 95 every day. Well I was wondering if you guys could tell me what kind of active mushrooms grow in this part of the United States. Also what time of the year do each variety grow?

Are there any Mushrooms that are active growing this time of year.

Also where would a amatuer Shroom Hunter look?

Last question promise, Do I just look for bluing in the shrooms. I mean do I just go to pastures after it has rained, look for shrooms, pinch them and if they turn blue pick them and then i.d. them to be positive.

THanks for your suggestions.

Please dont flame me, I have read alot about mushrooms, I just wanted to ask you pros about this!

Ehhh... You'd be looking mainly for Pan subbs, you may find a cubie here and there, but make sure you get them identified before you eat anything.
