Judgement Day

*Souls waiting in line for the final judgment*
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul1: No, I was raised a Muslim. Peter: No excuse. To hell with you then.
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul2: Yes, I was raised a Mormon. Peter: That is not being a Christian. To hell with you then.
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul3: No. As an Amazonian Indian, I never heard of the guy. Peter: Too fucking bad. To hell with you then.
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul4: No, my mother was burned at the stake as a witch by Christians. Peter: Boo-fucking-hoo. To hell with you then.
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul5: Yes, I was a conservative evangelist preacher. I did fleece my flock and sleep with many parishioner's wives. Peter: As long as you believed. You may enter.
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul6: Yes, I was a president of a powerful country. I depleted my country's treasury and sent many young people to a violent death. I lied to to my nation so that I could fight your war. Peter: Bravo! You may enter.
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul7: Give me a break. I was only two days old. Peter: Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Burn, baby, burn!
Peter: Did you take JC as your Saviour? Soul8: Are you kidding? I was mentally retarded. I couldn't even tie my shoes or spell my name. Peter: Either you did or you didn't. Is that too complicated?

I always used to use these examples in arguement to christians in general and the fallacy with which they, ahem "conduct" their religious business/beliefs.
Back then I was infuriated with the idea of christian retardedness/ignorance/arrogance etc,..
but I just quit caring what other people think. Its quite destructive to oneself to hold something so widespread against others, in fact its almost EVERYONE unquestioningly following a rather self-pitying and unempowering pathetic religion.
Eh, fuck 'em. People are slowly starting to open their eyes to the horrible contradictions and events that occur in the name of some fucking god or another. They'll either learn or decide to kill us all off.

Especially if you take into consideration how many believers there were 40 years ago compared to today. We're making marvelous progress, even if it's over a timespan longer than one lifetime.

In the US it's only one or two percent that do not believe in a god. That's a ton o progress.

What's worse is that it's the progressive religious groups that are losing ground, while the evangelicals are growing by leaps and bounds.

As population grows, resources dwindle, environment corrodes, war spreads, this trend may only continue; and yet fundamentalism is a cause of many or all of these problems.
Now where's that fiddle.

At the same time though, in revelation it says that satan/lucifer will decieve the whole world almost into thinking it is a lie.
Which although i question the many complications of religion, that verse makes me refrane from completely renouncing my faith.

Satan's game is deception. Many have been decieved into thinking he doesn't even exist. His ways appeal to many humans because there is no accountability. There is no justice or judgement and we can somehow achieve or realize our own godhood. It's a lie.
Jesus is the judge over His creation. The way that the original poster portrayed this judgement is not correct. While it is true that without a personal relationship with Jesus you are lost, it is also true that those who profess Jesus to be Lord are not all walking after righteousness. Those who live in sin habitually are without the truth and will perish the same as nonbelievers.
Do not look at others as to how you should live, look only to Jesus.

17Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus was not in opposition to God's Laws. He was opposed to the way the legalist Pharisees skirted the true spirit of the Law.

I dont understand this disdain. How is trying to avoid the pits of hell in infinite terms any different than trying to avoid the many hells on earth?
What is the noble path, going headfirst into Hell?

Peter: Do you accept JC as your saviour? Soul: No. I am God.
-------------------- So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

When The Pope Got To Heaven
Saint Peter told him somebody has got to know you to get in, so the Pope said: 'Well, ask God'. So Peter calls out: 'Hey God, do you know this guy?'.Who answers: 'Nope, never heard of him'.
The Pope then says: 'Well, ask Jesus'. So Peter calls out: 'Hey Jesus, do you know this guy?'. Who answers: 'Nope, never heard of him'.
The Pope then says: 'Well, ask the Holy Ghost - he must know me'. So Peter calls out: 'Hey Spook, do you know this guy?'. Who replies: 'I sure do. He's the guy who has been spreading all those dirty rumors about me and Mary. Throw him out!'
