Need help. Poo cakes.

Well I can successfully grow on WBS but for shits and giggles and to see if I could getting a larger yield, I've been trying to grow on hpoo. My poo smells like fresh dirt after I dry and "chop" the clumps up. No urine or shitty smell. So I tried 60/40 poo to verm and I added water until I picked it up and with a squeeze I could only push out 3-4 drops. I felt this was sufficient.. Maybe I am wrong, after a week now I have no growth and the jars smell similar to spinach. lol. Maybe I am impatient but with the WBS I've been having pretty fast colonizing times, around 15 days. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Did you sterilize the poo? And did you inoculate with spores or LC?
Poo works best if pasteurized and spawned to or if sterilized and inoculated with a LC. Sterilized poo + spores never work consistently for me.

Ah, this could be my problem. But I just figured that since it is a suitable substrate it could be used with multi-spore. Why doesn't it always take? Thanks again..

Oh and yes I sterilized as per thinking it's in a jar just like my WBS or BRF..so..idk

You can't inoculate manure with spores. You'll need to inoculate grains, and then use them to inoculate the manure. You'll also want more than a jars worth of manure. It's a bulk substrate, so to be effective, use it in bulk, such as a large tray or tub. A jar of manure is far less nutritious for fungi than a jar of grains. RR

If you are growing in the jar or bag you have to sterilize so that was ok-
I don't know why straight spores don' work, but I use poo bags (essentially the same as jars) and all the poo bag teks say that you should use LC
