"Do Amanitas bruise blue?"Which kind are you asking about, the kind with muscimol that make you trip, sleep, and puke, or the kind with amanitins that make you die? Either way it does not matter. no amanitas bruise blue. Your mushroom doesn't even have gills. it has pores that look like sponge. It is a boletus. Get a clue. read a book.

Hey BigD, To my knowledge, no mushrooms in the Amanita family contains Psilocybin, Psliocin or Baeosystin. Those are the three main chemicals in Magic-mushrooms that are responsible for the bluing reaction. They are also the chemicals that allow a mushroom-eater to "trip". Amanita muscaria (Fly Argic) is not even catagorized as a "Magic Mushroom" because it does not contain "Magic Chemicals". The Fly Argic contains Muscimol (spelling?), and is labeled as a Poisonous Mushroom. Different chemicals will do different things. Im interested in seeing your pictures of the mushrooms that stained blue and then you threw into a tree heheheh

GGreatOne234 It is an enzyne in the mushroom which oxidises as it hits the air and causes the bluing reaction when the mushroom is damaged. Some say it is pslocine which creates the bluing effect.Mjshroomer

Mule you are right. It looks like a yellow sponge on the other side, how did you know? Is a boletus hallucenogenic or poisonous, or what? i will have the pictures in about 3-4 days. today my friends found about 9 more of the same mushroom. if you touch it, it bruises dark blue almost instantly.

The boletus family has many mushrooms that bruise rapidly blue. Most rapidly bluing boletes are toxic. Some slowly bluing ones are edible. None are hallucinogenic. My 3 year old son likes to make lines on them and watch them turn blue!

Hey Mule.. Try to refrain from being so condescending. Things like "get a clue and read a book" is just plain insulting. The people who come to this forum are looking for information. Most of them don't have a clue, and that is why they are here. Your information on Boletii is worthwhile and important, and we all appreciate your sharing it with us. Just exercise some patience with those who need it, or -- get a clue and go read a book, and leave the computer alone.sincerely- matt, so

Actually, Mattso-I think you are to polite to people who have not even done 2 minutes of research. Could you kindly be more harsh and stern with these people please? I think they need it. If you cannot do things my way could you please refrain from using your computer at all? People who come here need discipline, not this "kid-glove" treatment. My way is the ONLY right way to be. Your way is wrong. Either express yourself in MY approved way or get lost! Thanks! Have a groovy day!

I seen the mule kickin the shit around here a lot lately. Ever since his advertisements for this "Breitenbush Mushroom Conference", hes been trolling around in here telling everyone that he is with the Breitenbush Mushroom Conference and he knows everything about every-single-mushroom there is because the people at the Breitenbush Mushroom Conference said so, and I think that your a nazi-amateur-mycologist. "People who come here need discipline, not this "kid-glove" treatment. My way is the ONLY right way to be. Your way is wrong. Either express yourself in MY approved way or get lost!" hehehehaha your a nazi dude.

He sounds like your kind of guy, GG.. Mule is obviously a wry sport. A good sense of humor is important. cheers to the nazi.On a different note, I think it's "KIT gloves" rather than Kid Gloves... actually, oh and you're mistaken... it's MY way that is the only right way, yours, sadly, is the Wrong way.. but no worries, honest mistake. Just don't let it happen again, you goose-stepping teste-taster. sincerely, your lord and master, bitch- matt, so

Yeah-OK-I did deserve all of that. But on a more serius note, when it comes to pretty much everything, I am right and you are wrong. However, when it comes to sadonecrobestiality, I defer to your experience. Then again, that's just beating a dead horse.
