two different spores in one cake?

Can one put two different types of spores in one cake?
I have cakes that to my begginers eye seem to be coming along ok, one never starting growing, and the another two only began in 1 out of 4 spots in which I injected spores, and the last began growing in 2 out of 4 spots.
So my question is, in the cakes that only started growing in one spot, can one inject them with a different type of spore in order to speed up the process (I have another syringe with a different species) and can those two coexist together?

You can, but it would probably be best not to give healthy mycelium another chance at being contaminated when you inoculate again. Just leave them be and they'll colonize no matter where the growth starts. It just might take a little longer.
And if you give it a few days you might see more germination on the other sides of the jar from spores you've already put in there as well.

well I did two jars at once. The first two, one was a complete bunk, and the second one, two spots next two each other have taken off and taken over about half the jar, but i can clearly see that if growth would have happend on all four spots injected, I would be almost done now and ready to hit the terrarium. This was about 3-4 weeks ago.
The other two have been at it for about almost two weeks, and growth has happend in only one spot, and it has been going for about 4 days now.

sounds like you have no gas exchange.
Have you taken the tape and foil off?
