Hi, first question is can i sterilize BRF jars in a big pot with a rack that the jars will stand on and wont touch the water? or do they need to touch the water? because when they are on rack only the steam touches them. i need to build an incubator i saw this http://sporeworks.com/store/product.php?productid=16207&cat=0&page=1 can i hook it up to any heating blanket? where do i need to put the probe? into the jars or near them? and any one knows if it will work with a 220V electric network?

If you really want to incubate, build a TIT. I wouldn't trust a heat blanket. I built mine for ~16 dollars with a submersible aquarium heater and two smallish rubbermaid bins.

you mean you fill one bin with water and the aquarium heater and put the second bin into it with the jars? the thing is that the water inside the bin will be lets say 27C? but the temp inside the jars is different its not like its touching the water. i think the blanket is better, you have a probe that controls the heat.

thanks but iv searched it already,i just don't think its better, because the jars on the bottom of the top bin will be wormer then the ones that are sitting on top of them. i just don't see why TIT is better.
