Lack of mycelial growth

I attempted to start my mushrooms growing about three weeks ago, however I have noticed an absolute lack of mycelium in my jars.
I'm using rye grain as my substrate, 1 cup of grain and around 2/3 cup of water per 1 quart jar. I did not soak the rye, but did pressure cook it for an hour. Not all of my jars were left in the pressure cooker overnight, some I took out early and let them cool, but a few were left overnight.
I used spore syringes from sporestore.com, Psilocybin Cubensis B+. About 1 mL of fluid per jar.
The jars have been in my mini-fridge incubator, which seems to keep a pretty constant temperature of 85 - 87 degrees, for about three weeks now, and I'm not seeing any growth at all.
I'm starting to think that the problem lies in the spore syringe. I purchased two syringes from the spore store, and have only used one thus far. Any input on what could have gone wrong would be much appreciated, as I'd rather not have to purchase any more syringes if I could avoid it. However, if that's the problem then I'd appreciate any recommendations for reliable spore suppliers.
Thanks for the help!

I would recommend using RR's rye grain tek. It works very well. It could be a number of things. Your moisture content may be off. You may have a bacterial infection. You may have a bad syringe. The few that you took out early might have foreign spores within them because they cooled in a unsterile environment.

hello friend, have not ever had problems using rye. the ingredients are the same i would use. the only difference is the temp. i keep mine at a little above room temp. and they turn out with-in a week. try a few jars at a cooler temp.(70-75), as far as everything else, you sound good.

Thanks for the tips, I'm going to try two more jars (unfortunately all my pressure cooker will hold... sigh) with the second spore syringe and RR's tek.
If that doesn't work out I think I'll buy some Golden Teacher spores from The Hawk's Eye.

lower your incubation temps also. The cake will heat up a few degrees on it's own.
