Dropped the cake on the floor

Hey. I dropped the fully colonised cake on the floor (that had started to pin), and am worried it has caused irreversible damage to the cake and/or contaminated it. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to ensure the mycelium will be ok besides leaving it be?
Thanks,
R.

for the most part, a fully colonized cake is pretty impervious to contams, but the floor is a very dirty place.
I dont think you should be worried, but a second opinion would be nice.

pictures of the cake after a few days of it being in the fruiting chamber can help us determine this.

it'll probably bruise the cake..
as long as it didn't like break apart or anything you'll probably be ok.
might stunt the pins for a little while.. especially the ones that the cake fell on.
other than that, you should be ok.
i wouldn't be worried about contams as much as if you knocked any pins off or not..

It's fine. I've dropped them before. You can rinse it off under the kitchen faucet. RR

Thanks for the advice. Some of the mycelium has been scraped off by the fall, and I can't see any of the pins that had formed on there anymore, but other than that the cake is intact. The strain is pc amazon - does anyone know roughly how long the shrooms will take to fully grow at a temp of 20-21c?
Thanks again,
R.
