As if you could not think of anything else.
    #7733254 - 12/08/07 01:28 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

As if you could not think of anything else on your own. You've thunk it all. Then someone comes along with a new idea and you become lost in thought. Once you were completely satisfied you are now open to new ideas. All it takes is the right person and the righ perception to begin a new.

Is it better to feel satisified in ones mind? Or always open to new ideas? It's easiest to get a set of beliefs that you are comfortable with and stick with them. Nothing new will ever come about unless you go deeper and break down your old structure.

Which is better though...

Build a structure, keep a structure.

Or,

Continue to break things down and be new again.

Peace,
Droz

What's best is working to build a structure that is flexible and re-arrangeable at short notice. Like spiritual teachers often say, you have to have a healthy ego to transcend it... you have to have the structure there, but it has to be malleable at the same time as it is discriminating.

“Strengthened by contemplation and study,
I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

The hardest is to look at the structure all at one time.

First you have to realize that there is a structure. You build up from idea to idea. Rational and logical thinking stems from a bases of wanting to have correct thoughts, not delusional thinking. Sometimes it's hard for people to seperate the two.

One thing is true that you must know something simple, like thoughts are all subjective and in this subjective reality only things you feel like holding onto you will. Things you want to get rid of you put in the back of your mind and forget.

Know this... Only you can determine the structure for yourself. You could have someone help you to find out where most of your thoughts lay, but realize mistakes may occur and to replenish one's mind is to rewrite a book.

Peace,
Droz

Icelander, so are you aware of your structure?

Where do these thoughts extend from?

Peace,
Droz

A wonderful friend once gave me some good advice about emotional growth. When you take some steps forward and you feel you've challenged your self to the max for the moment. Take a step back and relax. You will do much better in the long run.

My take on it is that both keeping an open or closed mind can be both constructive and destructive.
It depends from individual to individual, from case to case and with the implied circumstances.
