I spawned a quart of rye to some coir. but I think the jar might have been contaminated with mold. the coir is now fruiting and looks fine, bright white with some very nice fruits.
What should I do?

Doesnt sound like its contaminated.
Generaly if shows contamination during fruitng, the mushrooms will be fine, as long as there is no mould growing on the shrooms themselfs, or the shroom is rotting.
Just let it run its coarse keeping an eye on it, if anything does show up, you can pick the fruits then disgard.
Mycelium as far as i know does not transfer toxins from metobilising moulds or bacteria.

Thats not really the problem as much as molds growing within the shrooms and bacteria growing on and in the shrooms.

If there's a little bit of mold on a shroom, it doesn't really matter. Mold spores are only really damaging if you breathe them in. You can still eat it and be fine, unless it's a bacterial contamination. Then it will smell, and if it's all over and in the shroom, look so bad you wouldnt even think about eating it.

General rule. If it looks and/or smells bad, trash it. But if none of the mushmonsters have gotten them..munch away my friend.

Here's the first flush

Here's a close up of the sub

Here they are laid out ready to eat or dry

Heres what I think is a bacterial botch
Please tell me it isn't .
So what do you think safe to eat?

From the pictures(albeit they are fuzzy). The flush from said cake looks fine except for some green(?) spots, hard to really get a good look as to the poor quality. If any doubts, toss it. Have fun with those!

They look very healthy. I just had a crop with an interesting mutation apparent on at lest 30% of them. It really was like a cylinder like indentation from base to the center of the cap. Really made them look phallic!! That green looks like bluing to me as well. My bluing effect looks kinda green sometimes.

Anything I post is purely theoretical, and not based in reality. All pictures are from google. A big part of me has died inside and I don't know if it will ever come back. Nothing makes me happy anymore. I use drugs and alcohol to numb the pain, and my sense of humor to hide the rest. I don't share these feelings with anyone in real life.
