Abort problem

I seem to be having a little problem with aborts on my BRF cakes. I realize that aborts are normal, but all the pins on my cakes are ceasing to grow and the caps are developing a darker, almost black color. Does anyone know what this could possibly be caused by? I'm open to any and all suggestions. Wish I had a digital camera...

Sadly, I don't have a digital camera and won't be able to comfortably afford one for a while. Nor do any of my friends have one. Therefore, a pic won't be possible. I can tell you however that the temp is in the mid-eighties. My setup is a Hydrapod, and everything is set the way it's supposed to be. I have no way at this time to measure the humidity, but the air exchange system on the hydrapod is working well. I guess there's really not a lot for you to go on in order to help me, but perhaps you can inform on what the possible causes are. The mushies were doing well until they got half way mature, that's when the caps started to blacken. I take it the cause could be anything. Oh well, maybe I should just ask mycotek.
