something that irritates me
    #7728893 - 12/07/07 02:05 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

is how brainwashed some people are about taking mushrooms.

i have a good friend who was telling me, during a convo about shrooms "man that stuff is so bad for you, did you know......"and i go please dont tel me that they make your brain bleed, and hes like "i wouldnt be surprised man" and he was comparing it to other hardcore drugs and was like that stuff is worse than coke and that it make you stupid and all kinds of stuff.

i really hate when i encounter people with such conditioned COMPLETELY FABRICATED consensus about not just mushrooms, but all hallucinagens. he made hallucinagenics sound so ridiuclously bad. i tryed to explain to him my pointof view and al the research i've done and know about msuhrooms but to no avail.

it just makes me :shake:

This is brought up at least 3 times a month. Don't any of you realize that there will always be people like that?

There's nothing you can do for them. Getting them the facts will be useless.

Personally, I enjoy the rumors.

It makes psychedelics like a secret club in which many of the members know the Truth - and everyone else is left in the dark. It's even cooler to think that those in the "know" can invite others to join the circle, revealing the Truth. In this way, the rumors kind of keep out much of the riff-raff.

Of course this type of thinking could be seen as problematic as well - much of the riff-raff could benefit from psychedelics the most - but I suppose that's the way the game's designed.:heartpump:

what's even funnier is that after there little speech they have to make to you about your lifestyle, they go ahead and smoke up a cig and don't see the irony :justdontknow:

hah, exactly. It's kind of scary to know how close minded someone can be. Or maybe me thinking they're close minded in fact makes me close minded.

Gentlemen, we have a conundrum

not at all, once you open your mind and free yourself of the shackles of propaganda it's easy to recognize those still in captivity.

They might be funny if not for the political consequences.

Man is my brain gonna bleed tonight :crazy2:  :awesome:

Don't let it get to you hooper.  Ignorance is a fact of life.  And we're all guilty of it about some topic.  Nobody is 100% correct in what they say.  Not even close.  Just laugh it off, inform them without hostility if you can.
