honestly, i'm extremely skeptical of that movie. i just don't see how the epic tale that is beowulf could possibly translated to the big screen in any good way.

i completely agree with your skepticism. it's just a fun ass movie. action. battle scenes that just blow your mind. they really push the 3D feel as well.
i don't know what else to tell you, it's just a ton of fun. it's been a long while since I have seen a movie that has jazzed me up like that one did.
for anyone else who has seen it, did that opening scene with the blue fire just fucking freak you out or what?! i just about shat my pants.

I watched it on my comp yesterday, cool movie. I don't know if the changes they made to the Beowulf story were a good idea tho. Beowulf was cool, and degrading the character he was supposed to be for the movie was lame and a cop-out, I think. Grendel was freaky as hell, and the noises he made were disgusting. I was way sad for him when he died tho, even tho he was a brutal monster. He sounds so gentle and vulnerable when talking to his mom.

watching on your computer couldn't have done it the justice it deserved.

I hadn't known that it was a recently released movie. I'll probably go see it in 3d if it's still showing here.
I think Beowulf > 300 by far, but I also think 300 was a piece of shit pretentious, worthless and boring movie, so that might not be saying much.

he didn't realize that you don't have to use the embed feature for youtube videos, and the coding uses the URL twice.

next time just copy and paste the youtube URL directly from your address bar. that's all there's to it.

Beowulf doesn't interest me that much. But I do really want to see No Country for Old Men. Heard good things about that movie.
3D can be entertaining though I must admit.

i don't understand the 3d thing. do you have to go to a special theater, or do they give you those shitty little glasses?

interesting... i may just have to convince my roommate to take an epic journey with me to get fucking stoned see it 3d in the IMAX. we were both pretty turned off by the previews, but if it's really as visually stunning as you guys make it sound, i might just have to give it a shot.
edit: looks like the IMAX is about 30 miles away, in the heart of the state capital. could be an interesting time to test my competency with my new manual car

The movie itself isn't that great but the 3D and fight scenes are amazing. The 3D glasses are clear too, not those shitty blue and red ones.
