First grow....

A month or so ago I started my first real, organized attempt at growing some pot. I started by germinating 5 or 6 seeds in wet paper towels for a couple days. 1 or 2 didn't germinate so I threw them away and planted the 4 left over. One of them didn't even begin to grow. And another one was really small, stayed the same size for a few days and I woke up one day to find it dead.
There are currently two left, and they're doing relatively well compared to my other attempts. I've been keeping them in a 24 hour light cycle with a 2ft fluorescent light. I've been keeping an average temperature of 65-70 degrees. I splash the soil with water in the morning and water more throughly in the afternoon/night.
For a little while they were a bit top heavy, but in the last few days they've gained some strength and are currently standing on their own. When I have time, I plan on moving them into bigger pots. They seem like they're starting to outgrow their current 'containers.'
I've been keeping them in a cabinet(probly 2x2x3 ft) in my closet. Unfortunately I have to keep the 2ft light diagonal until I can raise enough money, time, and energy to go out buy some smaller, stronger, more efficient lights. I used a carefully placed sheet of tinfoil, dull side, behind the light and layered the whole inside with Tyvek. It's decently reflective.
I was just wondering, now that they're getting a bit bigger and vegetative, based on the pictures below, is there anything I should consider changing? Changing the light cycle to 18 light/6 dark? At what point and how should I induce budding (12/12 light cycle right?)? Any other comments/suggestions?
Some low quality pictures:
2-3 weeks into growth, a few weeks ago. I've since 'renovated'

The rest taken yesterday or two days ago. I can't remember. They're a bit taller than I like, most likely because of not being close enough to light during first stages of growth.

The bigger one.

The little one.

Agreed, you also need to get them closer to the lights to stop them stretching.

Well first things first, the soil.
Bury those ladies up to that little seed leaf that's poking out. Make sure it's nice and loamy, and can hold some water.
Then get a bigger light. That is a MUST after the transplant, or they will be very starved for energy and get even more stretchy then they are now. (stretchyness happens because they are "searching" for light)
Then you want to sex them. Don't even think about changing anything else until you know for sure they are a male or female. I would continue on with the 24/0 to make them grow and show their sex faster.
Once you have some female flowers pistils, it's time to flower! They're gonna be quite a bit larger than they are now, however, before you see any sign of what they are.
So in short, get a new light, put em pretty close, transplant into big pot, and then let em grow for a few weeks, then check back here and update us!
