"Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Five years later? Six? It seems like a lifetime, or at least a main era - -the kind of peak that never comes again. San Francisco in the middle sixties was a very special time and place to be a part of. Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run, but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant."

They were opening for Coheed and I was in the hall for their whole set.

Now, I forgot why I mentioned that....

But, I'd kill to see led zeppelin circa 1969.

Neil Young, and I'm seeing him Wednesday!

Shpongle DJ

for your shpongle people... you have plenty of time to prepare and get there.

for myself,
- i would have liked to have seen radiohead when amnesiac came out.
- i did manage to see them once, but i would really have liked to have followed around modest mouse in the early 2000's.
- dillinja on the valve sound system on acid. not sure i could handle it though...
- aphex twin, preferably one of his experimental sets in a strange location.
- moar squarepusher! i've only seen him once.
- datach'i i know he used to play in the city but i always seem to miss it
- kid 606, went to one of his shows but i left because of my girlfriend at the time hated it.
- i would have liked to have gone to a couple more phish shows.

They were one of the first bands to come to mind for me as well but if I had to choose I'd go for Sigur Ros instead because they've made more music that I really like, I suspect they would have more to offer live and I just think they're a little better. Music Has a Right to Children is great album but, to me, it's the only stuff by them I've heard that measures up to SR standards.
