Just now I noticed I had some pins starting to form on my cakes, and just thought I would ask and see whether I should just keep the same conditions or should I change it up a little? Keep light 12 and 12 or should I have like 10 on 14 off. Or is it just best to stay where im at?

12/12 is a proved winner. Maintain 99% humidity if possible with lots of fresh air. Those first pins make ya feel great huh? RR

Thats not the best method for calibrating a humidity gauge, rap in a soaked towl for an hour and ajust to read 100%.
Digital guages arnt that acturute, they depend on voltage for readings, as the battery looses charge, the acuracy goes out even in as little as a week, also the sensors can get coated with spores, also making it inacurate.
If your reading is accurate, and you have holes in your FC you might need to start taping them up.
Or if you dont have any, look at the shotgun FC tek, lots of very small holes on all 6 sides helps airflow over and around the perlite to help evaporation of moisture into the air.
The pins are a good size, but if your humidity is low, you will want to get it high as you can.
