Best abduction story I've ever heard.
    #7724953 - 12/06/07 03:19 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

If you are at all interested in the alien abduction field and havn't heard the story of Jim Sparks, take the time to listen to this interview. Trust me, you will not regret it. Unbelievable detail from 18 years of being abducted. I got totally sucked into it and, quite honestly, have never been so facinated by anything.

It's about 2.5 hrs for all 16 parts so if you have an evening to kill, put on the headphones and give it a listen.

Jim Sparks Alien Abduction Interview

*edit* for some reason a bunch of the parts from this interview are now gone from youtube. i have changed the link to a search for another interview where he tells the same story.

btw, i bought his book 'the keepers' and read it in one day. very interesting.

I think the story lost all credibility when he said he was drinking vodka straight from the bottle and the aliens came walking through the walls. I pretty much shut it off at that point.

If Santa can make it down a chimney, then aliens can certainly walk through walls.

If your really interested in this stuff then read about DMT. In theory DMT could be naturally produced in your brain when you sleep, and with different fluctuations could be the cause for abduction-like experiences.

I don't think DMT can explain many alien abduction cases.

Theres so many independent reports of people experiencing it while driving, witnessed events or just while awake - as in the case here. The guy explains that the first few times it happened he was asleep but he's had loads of times when he's been wide awake. He also states that he didn't really believe it himself at first until the physical evidence started showing up.

Also, that vodka part doesn't make it lose any credibility - he said he was suffering regular abduction. The time he was drinking vodka was years after he realized it was something real going on. He was drinking the vodka because he was trying to pluck up the courage to try and shoot an alien before it abducted him.

Keeping in mind most alien abductions happen at night, while a person was asleep, DMT would be the perfect explanation for most abduction cases. If you look into it enough most abductions happen around 3a.m. when you brains pumping out the most Melatonin of the night and theoretically DMT release.

I disagree,

Quote:

Most credible abduction cases have not happened while people are asleep.

Barney and Betty Hill - two people abducted while driving
Travis Walton - Abducted from a woods and with independent witnesses
Pascagoula river incident - 2 people abducted while fishing

If someone dreamed they were abducted it would be silly to assume it was anything but a dream. I dream lots of stuff but I know it is a dream and not reality. So do most people.

Besides the fact of DMT even being released is only theory. Theres a big lot a chasm jumping going on to say DMT release in dreams is solely to blame for alleged abduction.

The 'incidents' you note are just stories with no corroborating evidence except for another's story.

Many claimed abductees have been studied in sleep centers and not a single body has ever disappeared even though some claimed to have been abducted while there.

Case closed.

what about implants?
This artist/inventor claims to have been abducted and discovered an implant in his head during a dentist visit. He says that the information for his ideas comes from the implant.

Wrong.

http://ufos.about.com/od/aliensalienabduction/p/pascagoula.htm Lie detector tests and independent witnesses IS corroborating evidence.

LOL, theres plenty of corroborating evidence in the mass of info provided on the site I linked.  Clearly you didn't read any of it.

Case closed?  You should never close a case because of the possibility of new information coming to light.

If the person taking the lie detector test truly believes he was abducted then it will show up as him being truthful. That still doesnt rule out the fact that it was a dream, and that he thought it was a real experience.

Lie detector tests? Are you joking? Not about taking them, but as evidence? Have you ever seen a polygraph printout? You get one guess why a court of law won't allow them.

Corroborating evidence is a husband backing up his wife and friends backing up friends? Words can't possibly be faked, eh?
