blueing stems
    #772388 -

im in a situation right now where i am not able to fan dry my shrooms, so they are just air drying. it seems like the stems are turning blue ( more than if they were fan dryed). if these take like 2 days to dry enough to put them in a dessicant, are they gonna lose potency? i dont want to saturate my damprid by putting fresh shrooms in with it. anyone ever dry them without a fan? any suggestions would help. (see im at my parents for the week, and i brought my casings with me because they were almost ready for harvest. there is no discreet place i can have a fan blowing on a bunch of shrooms without drawing attention.) would putting them in a warm car maybe help? or is the heat just as bad?

I'd just build yourself a small dissicient chamber and place the fresh shrooms in there.

I dry my shrooms using a chamber all the way, since I have no room for a fan, it works good although it isnt the most efficient way..

Well to lessen the amount of damp rid you use, put paper towls on top of the shrooms in the dry chamber. Thus alot of water gets sucked up into the towl and less falling towards the damp rid. You can also put a towl under the damp rid, to protect it futher. I've been using my damp rid for a very long time, and it still works great!

bein a newbie, im not real sure about how much potency will be lossed or retained, you mite want to try to find some ice melt at a hardware store or somewhere if you can find it.

also you mite want to take a look at this post and look at rail_Guns methods, Ive never tried but looks and sounds nice.
