does the state of affairs on earth reflect our inner state?

question to shroomery members:
are we each individually absolutely responsible for everything going on in the world, including rape, murder and mental illness?
or do we simply happen to be victims to a world outside our control (i.e there are bad people out there because that's how nature works)

You need a third option: We all find ourselves in this world through no fault of our own, but we either choose to be complicit or we choose to work to change it.

shit, i think the answer is simple enough, those who participate, make it worst. those who don't, have no part.
but remember, half a rapist, is participating. Someone who goes and gets in fights, may not be a gang member, but participates with his action.
you know.. also, a day you live peaceful, is a day you definately participate in the peace of the world, whether you give to the poor, or just enjoy peace and wish the world had it. A person living peaceful is a person giving his view of the world back to it, wishing everyone was happy and well made. If everyone was like this, would the world not have the worth of gold?

I wouldnt neccesarily say that we as individuals have participated in making the world what it is today. I would say that many problems today are a result of how our past rulers have ruled.
