Hey Adom and Geo. I'm really glad that I was able to finally hook you guys up with this. I love this comp and I think every Dead fan here should have it. Put it on CD and burn it for your friends.

I will, just as I've been doing for the '77 show I linked above. I even gave a three-disc copy to my mailman on Monday!

I'm not hating--its just that I've been listening to stuff from 69 lately, just amazing to hear how they turned out eight years later.

What happened to the "Ruben & Cherise" encore?
Or was that Vol 2?

I actually do not have Vol. 2. I was going to upload Volumes 1 and 3 and then ask someone to upload Volume 2. If someone out there wants to upload that for everyone to have, by all means start a new thread. I never wanted it because "Shroomery Picks Vol. 2" is all Jerry Garcia Band. I still to this day have never explored many of the band member's side projects. I don't have anything from JGB. I've heard a little from them, but for some reason, I've never bothered investigating further. That's why I didn't get Vol. 2. I want it now though. I'm ready for it. Lay it on me.
I still need Ripple to tell me which Shroomerites donated which songs on "Shroomery Picks Vol. 1". If pillow doesn't know, then only Ripple or KK would know I think. Ripple?

I actually don't remember who sent in what on any of the volumes.
KC definitely donated more than most and helped K and I with the burning and distribution of Cd's as did others.

oh man whoever picked that one needs a pat on the back
actually most of volume one was picked by me and no songs were sent to me on the first volume. We just talked about if the song was a favorite or not in the thread. It was not until volume two that I received Cd's from others with songs on them that I didn't already have in my collection already.
I'm going to stick this for a while Leary so people get a chance to download the songs if they wish.
If your not into the dead that's fine but we really don't need to hear about it in this thread.....

LF- def appreciate this, but, it may be easier for you and the users of the site to upload a zip file of the tracks to a site like mega upload and provide the link. This way we can get all the tracks in one go, you don't have to make 329838219038 posts with files, and we can all enjoy the music in the end.
Just a suggestion, either way thanks for the music!

Maybe you should rar/zip the whole CD up and post that instead? Seems like it would be much easier to both download and upload.

Ripple: Thanks for the background info on the CD. It's good to know the history behind it. Thanks a lot for starting this series. It's a lot more special to me than "Dicks Picks".
Coda: I didn't upload it to megaupload because I want Shroomerites to have access to it in the future. I want to be able to link this thread for people 10 years from now and I can't count on any outside website to have it accessible for more than a week or two. This thread was started for posterity's sake. I'm thinking long term.
