Veil torn = right for picking?

Sorry for posting so many threads about this. Anyway, my shrooms are starting to look like this [penis envy]. The caps seem to be pulling away without actually breaking/tearing, is that the most I can expect from penis envy and should I pick it, or will it expand fully and look like a normal cubensis cap before I pick it?
Cheers.

Alright. Would you only harvest them once they get to that part, or just pull the entire flush bigger than a pin, dunk and re-fruit?

I'd let them all get to that point. If you pick much earlier, you lose too much, and if you let them go longer, there's not much gain. You don't need to pick the whole flush at once. RR

My first flush. I ended up pulling almost all of them anyway since they seemed ready, they were a lot more slippery and slimy to the touch that I'd imagine, plus they came off readily, a bit like velcro. I'm currently dunking the cake for 6 hours in the fridge before returning it to the FC.
Fruits:

Time to dry them, although I'm planning on taking some tomorrow for the very first time.

Dunk it longer than than at least 12 but 24 hours is best. And make sure it is submerrged in the water and not floating.
Yup they were all pretty much ready for picking Nice time for picking so as to avoid spores everywhere.
If u decide to take spore prints at 1 point, leave em a little longer till the caps start flattening out, watch for spores starting to drop (usually see them on the torn peice of veil on the stem)

I only ended up soaking for 2 and a half hours. I'm not fussed, I've been keeping it pretty hydrated during the first flush. I just got bored and couldn't keep it in the fridge for much longer since people would get pissed off.
Next time I'll do it properly [or as properly as I can afford]:
WBS spawn bag. Rinse > Simmer > Soak > Rinse > Drain. Colonize with the proper amount of LC and not overhydrate. Mix at 25% then leave. When it's 100% colonized, spawn to coco coir. When that's 100% colonized, case with peat moss. Expose to fruiting conditions.
