If cats could talk...

Bean is about 10 years old. He has one ear that is split down the center. No one knows how it got like that, but it doesn't really bother him any. He's also missing one of front kitty fang teeth.
He was involved in a hit-and-run accident once a couple of years ago. He came home crippled, mangled and smelling like car exhaust, but he's fine. He spent a week inside getting lots of pats and attention. He regularly stays out all night long doing secret cat things...that mostly involve killing, I assume. He brings home goodies to show us his appreciation. Mice, rabbits, squrills, a frog once, a skunk...yes, a skunk once.
Last week Bean went out and didn't come home. The house seemed like something important was missing. Everyone was thinking about it, but no one really wanted to say much out loud. Two days went by and there was an ice storm outside. No little mews at the door, no white cat on the end of my bed. Three days went by...and still no sign of Bean. This was the point where we started to beleive the worst. The saddest part was that Bean had been our friend for so long...10 years and we didn't even know if he was sick, or hurt, or dead, or cold, or hungry. Such a feeling of hopelessness. Bean didn't deserve any of those things.
Around 9pm on day 4 there was a MEW at the door! Is it our imagination? Bean came home! His front leg was mangled and crippled and he smelled like a machine shop. He was starving and dehydrated... but he was alive.
The vet said that he probably got hurt and found some shelter to keep safe until he was well enough to hobble home on three legs. He survived 4 days in a Canadian winter storm with no food, no water and a busted leg.
I'm so proud of him. I wonder if cats know how much we love and appreciate them?

Bean sounds like a real trooper. Awesome. I love it when cats prove how badass they are.
Anyway, glad the tiger made it home

Bean is a trooper. What's really cool about him is that even though he's a badass killer by night, by day he's a loving pet who wants to purr on your lap.
I can't even find the words to express how happy I was when he came home. It was like early Christmas magic.

Awww... I'm glad he's alright... sounds like a tough little guy. Cats are remarkable sometimes.
We have a Bean, too. Technically, her name is Jelly, but I call her Bean a lot. (Jellybean shortened...)

i'm glad Bean is okay!! that's awesome. i'm sure he knows that you love him dearly, which is why he hobbled home on 3 legs, so he could be with you again.

glad to hear he's ok. remember years ago we had a cat called two-face(he had a line going down his face, one half was black, the other white) anyway was only a kitten, and was walking to school one day, he usually follows to the end of the road and returns home, so he stops at the end of the road and turns around as if he was heading home....never did.

My thoughts exactly.

His cock must be the size of a golf tea if he could actually get it in.
When I was about 6 or 7 my older neighbor who was about 10 at the time was throwing ricks at my other neighbor's cat. I picked up a piece of a brick and threw it at him because I didn't like him fucking with the cat. I was aiming for his chest but hit him in the side of the head by mistake. It was the first time I had ever seen somebody knocked out. Long story short... He beat me up after he came back from the emergency room, but I got even by stealing his new BMX he was so proud of and put it on the railroad tracks. When a train hits a bike the pieces that are left don't even look like they once a bike. AAH my youth.

I realize that keeping cats indoors can be a controversial topic with cat lovers. I'm a firm beleiver that in order to have an emotionally and physically healthy cat, he should be allowed to go outside and catch mice and get into fights and live his cat life just like a regular cat....and not an indoor trophy.

My roommate had a cat that was true stoner badass cat. I lived with the cat alone for a while and he got up to all kinds of trouble without his true owner around. While I was at work he would make regular excursions out of our second story window. Went missing for a few days lived on rooftops etc.
During one of his excursions he jumped through another open apartment window in the same building. He pissed on the floor and ate some of the dog food he found there (I know this because the apartment's owner told a friend of mine) Anyway the dog notices this cat and freaks out and chases the cat back out the window. The dog followed the cat onto the ledge, where the cat made a clean getaway. This dog was a german shepard and didn't enjoy being on a second floor narrow ledge so he froze up and wouldn't move. They had to call the fire department to get this dog off the ledge. This was all downtown in a very small town.
I was working at the time and all these people kept coming in and talking about this stranded dog on a ledge. When I got home I found it was all the cat's doing. He showed up like nothing had happened. Crazy cat.
Funny thing is a few months later the whole building burned down, the dog's owner wasn't home when the alarms went off, but the firemen knew there was a dog up there that needed rescuing!
