Ok i am looking for stackable, 18" by 18" TUBS I want to be able to stack several of them together. i have seen monster mitchs tek and i like it i was just hoping to have them a little smaller. not sure what anyone else has come up with but i have had a hard time finding such a thing. ideally i want somthing a lot like a milk crate but a little larger. if anyone can help i would appriciate it.

Monstermitches monotub container are beautifully designed. I have found them online but only the clear ones. Home depot is the only walk in place I have found that sells them, but I can only ever find the lids. You can search online for them, they are made in 17 and 21 gallons.

Target has the best deal I have seen yet. I got this one at Fred Meyers. It was like 16$, but target has one that is a little taller, and wider for 12.99 Doh! I just saw them yesterday.

doesn't having a clear container cause the mushies to grow all crazy? i am thinking i would rather have 4 small ones rather than 1 big one. i fear that it would contam and then i would have to start all over.

Use black garbage bags in the bottom of the tub. You can break your bulk up into seperate casings in one tub.
If one goes contamed, just lift it out, and toss it.
There is no difference between this, and a fruiting chamber with seperate trays.
There are two strains in there, growing in two seperate garbage bags.
And does it look like those are growing all crazy?

You're right. That tub prolly wouldn't work. It's clear, and too big.

Except that by the time he detects the contam it will have probably sporulated and lifting it will spread spores everywhere.

How would it not be the same as finding a contamed tray in a fruiting chamber? If you seal it with plastic wrap before you pull it out, it is even less likely. When I see a contam, I don't wait to see how contamed I can get my casing before pulling it.
See the difference between what I'm saying, and what you are saying is that I am speaking from experience, and you are assuming. I have only contamed one casing in a multi bag tub, and tossing it out didnt contam anything else.
Newsflash. If you ph adjust your casing material, it doesnt matter if you have spores coming into contact with it. They won't grow if you have done things correctly. Then when you dunk by letting the water run over the edge of your dunking tub, you will wash the spores away anyhow.
Thanks for telling me that they way I sucessfully grow doesn't work. At least I can get a laugh out of the situation.

I NEVER worry about ph. Also, my last grow was done doing clear tubs. I just put ducttape around the bottom. Enough to cover the substrate. Ide rather have clear on anyhow because then you can see what the bottom is doing.
