overlaid? what to do?
    #771897 - 07/23/02 09:13 PM (22 years, 6 months ago)

I have three dung casings that are stalled. I may have left them too long incubating. Approximately two weeks incubating. I thought they were contamed, but have been told they are fine. As far as I can tell, these look overlaid. I have seen so many casing projects that look ?overlaid? but people still get pins.

What to do? Deep scratch? Add a casing layer (currently there is just spawned dung in here)?

Temperature is around 80-84 in daytime. Nightime is dropping in low seventies. Air exchange should be good.

Here are the pics:

and also:

btw- for those curious, these are EQs and Lippa Yais.

thanks in advance,

di11rod

I personally would scratch the casing w/ a sterile fork. Spray w/ a weak H2O2 sol'n (1.5% is what I use). Recase w/ a moderate casing layer (1/2 in. or so) and immediately place into fruiting conditions...that's just me though.

...ohhh..I am also moving this thread the Mushroom Cultivation as that is a more appropriate forum for your question. I think they will also like the pics there.
