Hey guys i went out and picked up a new Presto 16 Quart Canner tonight. The rack sits lower than my other pc so i was just wondern how high you guys usually fill the water up in these PCs?

I'll be doing WBS so i need it to be able to run for at least 70 mins.

1 liter of water would be more than enough to run that cooker for 70 minutes. You could probably pull off 1/2 liter too, but you may want to experiment a bit to make sure.

Hey, I have the same PC, it's awesome! To raise the rack a bit I crumble up some foil balls (4 is enough) and put them on the bottom, then lay the rack on top. Does a great job of getting the jars a bit higher, not completely out of the water, but not as submerged either.

Hope that helps! Oh yea, add some white vinegar to your water too, but if you read the instructions completely you'll already know that... (I would read the instructions completely)

Same one I use. I  it. Fits 10 quarts easily.
