Another Bay Area ID Request

1.

Habitat: grass on edge of wood mulch
Gills: Dark gray to purple, attached (adnate).
Stem: White, fragile, hollow, stringy
Cap: Convex to flat, largest was about 2" diameter, others about half that size. Yellow to medium tan when picked.
Spore print: Dark purple to black
Bruising: Slight bluing of cap edges.
Location: Bay area, near water.

Taken the next day.

Habitat: not sure, was found picked in a low bush near grass and wood chips
Gills: Light gray to brown, attached (adnate).
Stem: White, fragile, hollow, stringy
Cap: Wavy, flat, largest was about 1" diameter. Light brown with medium tan center when found (pulled out,in a low bush).
Spore print: Dark purple to black
Bruising: Appeared to darken, but didn't look especially blue
Location: Bay area, near water Thanks for any help

firts is stropharia do not the exact specie the second are psathyrella not edible not active, not toxic.

The bluing you noticed on the Stropharia cap edge is a combination of your imagination and some dark purple brown spores landing near the cap margin.
Cactu, here is a trick that will help you quickly ID all California (and 95% of u.s.) mushrooms to species.
Look at the picture and description and decide on a genus, then hit this web page. Search for the genus and there will be a small handful of species to click on. If it isn't there, choose the next closest genus. Choose the closest species in the list and you will almost always have the right answer.
