Forcing the Shrooms

I've done shrooms once, and I'll be doing them again tomorrow night. Great experience, but I want something a little more.

My first time I ate 3/4 of an 8th (how many grams is that?) and was pretty gone. I actually had a conversation with my girlfriend about how the chair and pillow next to me were doing the thinking for us. Bad thing is I went and pissed all over my car (all in good fun though, lol). In short, lost complete touch with reality, however there were a few moments when I grabbed my face and concentrated as hard as I could repeating "must grasp reality," which actually made me sober for a split second.

My problem is I had almost no visuals, it was almost a purely mental trip. I can think of only 5 visuals during the 7 hour trip, and none were major. The thing that appealed to me with tripping (beforehand) is that I was told I could see things and bend them to my will. I tried that, didn't really work.

Any recommendations on how I can force visuals? My ideal visual would to be to talk to Homer Simpson or Jesus. Here's what I'm thinking, I'm assuming you guys know best:

1. Before tripping, concentrate really hard on what I want to see.
2. Before tripping, tell a friend to knock on the door and tell me it's Homer and to answer it.
3. During the trip, watch the Simpsons and try to pound Homer into my head so I see him.

Any other ideas? BTW, I'm going to be eating either an 8th or about an "8th and half".

Try having no expectations. Visuals are fun, but whatever the trip does, you should just enjoy. When you get visuals, you'll get visuals, until then, just make the best out of the trip. Try waiting a very long time between trips 2 - 3 months and take a decent dose. That may help.

I didn't see visuals until the fourth time I tripped. However, that was acid, and the fourth time was with different stuff than what I had the first three times. I agree with Sheepish though. Try not to expect anything and just let it all happen. Waiting a while between doses would surely help as well. Forcing something is probably not the best way to go (then again, everyone is different). But yes, enjoy yourself no matter what.

You can not force the visuals, the will show you if they want, but I discover that you have to learn to let go and they will take you, It is hard to explain.
But if you quiet your mind, when the feeling starts you will know what I mean.

You might want a different drug. Psylocybin isn't really the drug to take to 'see cool shit' or whatever and it just doesn't generally produce those kinds of visual hallucinations.
Anyhow there're far more worthwhile pursuits while under its influence than trying to see cartoon characters.
You could always try lucid dreaming, too...

Annnd, 3/4 of 1/8 is around 2.6 grams.

you need to take more if you want visuals. and you didn't lose touch with reality. u would need atleast 6-7grams for total loss of reality.

I don't think you lost reality either. If you lose reality, there is no talking yourself down.

Smoke pot during the peak if you want stronger visuals, but I doubt you will have complete hallucinations like cartoon characters on shrooms.

It would be a good idea to concentrate on what you want to see before the trip. Tripping doesn't create hallucinations--your senses become completely mixed up (obviously, more-so as you dose higher), and your brain will create objects that aren't there.

try listening to pink floyd and shutting your eyes. sweet visuals. of the closed eye variety. still sweet though. much better than anything you can see with your eyes open.

i dont get nothing major open eyed until i hit about 4 grams. 2-3 gram doses usually include nice fractals closed eyes. and some stuff like woodgrains flowings. breathing effects. pixelation of vision(lke someone drops my vision resolution down from 2400x1600 to 640 x480)...

i usually dont try to focus on the visuals on the visuals that much. just flow with the whole trip.

First time I shroomed was last Thursday... I ate 7 grams of dried cubies to the head... it was 100% visual... colors, pink and green swirls on the ceiling, closed eye visuals that looked like a Winamp screen saver, and a talking cat. Oh yeah I was also melting in the mirror and figured out that the secret to life is in a mathematical equation. Nutty... so yeah, take a killer dose of about 7 dried grams (a quarter oz) and just get ready for your life to change for the better.
