A stroll through Savannah, GA

These were all taken in the historic district of downtown savannah on one day in September (procrastinator...), usually less than 2 feet from a busy street.
I hope you enjoy!
an amanita, growing right outside my door:

a russula?

these yellow fellows were everywhere, the second pic was taken on the courthouse lawn.

the grassy medians seemed to have the most abundant supply of specimens.

From the big 13 acre park in the heart of Savannah:

and this one i was most curious about: it seems i've seen pictures of it somewhere, but cant remember. i found it under a pine tree. note the dark bruising in the second pic at the lower end of the specimen. it seems like it would have had gills had i pierced the thick rubbery slimy veil, but i already felt bad enough for having uprooted it.

My favorite city! Maybe weilii's will make it down there. Have you ever been to Spanky's (restaurant by the water)? Good pictures also.

Spanky's is pretty good, i go to the one on tybee island whenever surf time ends in sync with dinner time.
i'm guessing the reason for the leucocoprinus is because it was usually around plants that were probably in pots at one time, during transport or whatnot.
