Grow Kit help

Hello community!
I'm a shroom growing newb but have been reading your forum for tips for a good while My first try was unsuccessful, but for my second try I decided to get some help and I bought the "Easy as 1-2-3" Grow kit from the Shroom Wizard. He's also been helpful to answer all my questions. The adress with the kit is here:
***Link Removed***
So far things are going good I feel. I have my cakes colonized and one in the tank where I see healthy pinning. I wish I had a pic to show you all.
But my question is this: Is there anything glaring that's wrong with this setup? (Other then the fact that you can only put in one cake at a time?) I was worried about humidity but so far it seems the pins are growing into healthy mushrooms.
Moderator Edit: Do not post direct links to non-Shroomery sponsors please. I also retitled your thread, as we do not endorse other companies. Thank you.

Okay, yeah I've heard a lot of people saying negative things about his teks but I'm wondering what you guys think of his grow kit. It's basically a small pentagon-shaped aquarium, big enough to hold one cake. The cake sits on a pad that soaks up moisture on a shelf with holes in it. Water is filled to a 1/4 below the bottom of the shelf and an air stone blows bubbles from a hose leading to an outside air pump.
Has anyone tried this setup before?
So far I'm seeing good results but I'm wondering how good something like this would normally work in holding humidity, etc.

Oh my god, I just read the description of the kit on Shroom Wizard's site and he says that, with this grow kit and the substrate jars you get with it, you'll be able to cultivate up to 7 gram dry (one cake) with every flush for "several years". Imagine that: Grow mushrooms for several YEARS from these 3 substrate jars!?! Damn, that's a complete LIE!
The equipment you get isn't worth 50 bucks, but I would have expected it to be way more expensive...
Anyway, telling unknowing people that they can cultivate mushrooms for years with these jars totally qualifies this guy and his site to be a rip-off!
You could have gotten everything you needed for about 15 bucks and would have had (ahh.. fuck grammar!) more mushrooms in the end, cause you could have made way more jars with the BRF and Verm you got.
Try it out the next time!

After having a look at the Shroom Wizard 1-2-3 Grow Kit, I don't see any problems with the kit, except for the fact that you could've spent $50 and gotten enough supplies for at least 10 times the cakes that he gave you, and you could've made a bigger, better fruiting chamber.
However, a kit is a nice easy way to get your feet wet. Next time you should just by the supplies needed and do it yourself. It's more satisfying that way.
Good to hear that it's working for you though.

I think what he means is that if you use his guide to making PF-Style Cakes and continue the process that the kit will last for years. He's just a bit vague because he's a crazy old dude and of course, he wants his grow kit to sell.

LOL thanks for all your feedback. Yeah I think he meant if you keep filling up the substrate jars it will keep giving you the 7 grams "dried" every 2-3 weeks without failing for years to come. I'll admit, it seems worded really funny.
I think I ultimately bought the kit because the first time I failed and I couldn't find any vermiculite in my area. Plus I had contamination so that kind of made me reel back and try someone else's contraption. So far it's working.
But I do realize that $50 was too pricy for what I got. And I've been reading over your forum pages for a while, so next time I will start building things myself.
The strain I'm using is cambodian and it seems very rapid in its growth.

Well, if you actually have to interpret that kind of commercial of a product it's definitely not worth buying it!
Just buy your Vermiculite online. It's way more economic than this kind of stuff. I've never seen any pre-sterilized jars that weren't totally over-priced.
