Okay, I just got me a vicks coolmist from walmart this afternoon and im using 1 piece of garden hose (about 2 foot long) that is running into my fruiting chamber. Now I have put my hygrometer in there and like I have been reading it took about 15 min. untill my hygrometer was saying the right rh (95%). The thing is, when I put my hand over the hose that the humidity is coming from, it doesnt feel wet at all, but mostly like just air. My hygrometer is saying that its 95-99% humidty, so my real question is do the cool mist humidifiers feel like that when they are putting out the mist or are you suppose to be able to see mist coming out the hose? I have never used one before so im not sure if its working correctly or not. I know theres nothing wrong with my hygrometer b/c I got it directly from a cigar shop, so its a pretty good one. Anyone know? Oh and I dont really see any condensation on the walls either.

This is the time that I recorded that would be needed to keep the humidity right. Does this sound right at all?
12:25 - turns on 12:40 - at right rh(95%), turn off 1:10 - back down to 85%, turn on 1:20 -back to 95%
so I would have to set a timer to come on every 30 min. for 10 min. each time to keep it at 95%. Does this sound reasonable? I have read that some people only turn theirs on for 15 min every couple of hours. How come I have to put mine on for every 30 min? I have 2 small holes at the bottom to let some co2 escape so maby thats why its dropping rh so quick? Im not sure what I should do. I thinking that only air is coming out of the hose and thats why the rh isint staying long. Theres no condensation along the walls either. Can anyone help? Would this be good to have the cool mist running that much?

I have a 1" hose going into my fruiting chamber and a half inch hole in the bottom. In order for condensation to build up I have to stuff polyfill into the bottom hole and when I do you can look in at a certain angle and see a mist coming out of the 1" hole. When you put your hand up to the hose you cannot feel the moisture, but it does feel cool. That is how I check my fruiting chamber for leaks. I run my hand around the lid and where it is leaking you feel a cool breeze coming out.
