Salvia Problems

The first two pics are of my healthiest plant. The bottom pic exemplifies characteristics of the other four I have. I found some mites in all their pots today. I sprayed with soapy water but I am still concerned about the brown spots on their leaves/stems. Can anyone tell me whats wrong or what to do?

probably related to over watering, seems to be the main issue with salvia. let the soil dry out between waterings, it doesnt need to be continuously wet...

What kind of humidity do you have them in? Some of mine look the same way. Check it out. I've heard over watering is very common.

I have them in large gussetted spawn bags that I cut down to size. I just took them off for the pictures.

they can take pretty much any conditions as long as they get a gradual acclimatisation. The only nonos would be extreme light and extreme humidity for long periods(as rot is common)

thats what I'm working on right now. i take their tents off for a couple hours a day currently. I'm doing it very slowly because I'm not sure how gradually to do it.

Heya,
Just from my experience: I didn't do acclimatization gradually at all. I just took the plants out of their humidity resort to face the harsh world. They were wilted for a short amount of time (maybe a day or two) but I just made sure the leaves didn't start forming necrosis. Only one of my three original cuttings did and I had to move it back to humidity tent (the poor bastard never made it as it had formed basiclly no root system). Now when I take cuttings no humidity tent at all is needed and they only start wilting when they run out of water

a few bad leaves aren't anything to worry about anyways. Also, if your salvia aren't used to the climate their in right now, they dont like acclimating right away. it takes them a little while.

Well, I waited about 3 weeks to start exposing them to new conditions. I'm sure they'll be alright.
