Yeah it's not like he's pouring halfshots and saying they're fullshots, ripping you off 3 dollars a glass.

They are just taking a fairer cut from the rich ass landlords.
Grassing them up is gay - there no morality in our monetry system anyway.

fuck it, its not really your place to call them up and they probs get paid fuck all anyway.
i mean if the bar owner suspects something he can easily enough figure out if drinks aren't being charged for. if the bar owner doesn't notice then he/she either makes too much money, or doesn't know how to run a bar properly, its a pretty common trick.
your call and i'm not saying what they are doing is right but personally if you did i would think you were a bit of a nosy, grassing asshole. its only a couple of dollars. unless of course you see yourself as some sort of holy warrior of social morality. relax and have a drink and worry about more important things like space exploration and the decline of the red squirrel

I was a regular at one bar until a new waitress overcharged me by way over $10. I had two import draft pints and my tab was like $22. I tipped her 1 cent and never went back to that bar again.
It was probably unfair of me because 99% of the time my tab was less than it should have been.

Also if you are a barfly watch out for double drafts.
Keep every bartab receipt, it only takes two seconds to change your $3 tip into an $8 tip or a $13 tip. been there done that, bartender quit and disappeared the day she got caught.

the bar manager does it as well, i suppose i could start paying with a credit card, at least that way they might leave a beer off once in a while, but i dont like them having a record of my name because i get in the occasional bar fight

well, obviously ask for a reciept.
usually my stance is if you don't charge me for a beer, you are entitled to half of what it would have cost on the tip...

Fuck it... As long as they're not riping you off and your not friends with the owner than fuck it. Drink up and wink at the bartender the next time you see him doing it; you might get some free shots. If the owner is too stupid to realize his bartenders are stealing from him than he deserves it.
