Casing compost?
    #7715017 - 12/04/07 11:46 AM (16 years, 1 month ago)

I have read that casing compost is not needed can anyone confirm this? Or would a 1/2" deep casing layer of 50/50+ on top of 3" of compost work better?

it would work better although casing is not needed with cubes but certain substrates are harder to fruit without it. Straw being onne of them

I would be using something simple to work with like a crumbled 5 lb mushbox compost bag
