A Frederick man was arrested early today after he was found sitting in a car with two bags of marijuana, a bag of psilocybin mushrooms and a partially smoked joint, the Frederick Police Department reports.
While investigating a suspicious vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Hillmeade Square about 2:46 a.m., Officer Michael Auge saw two men sitting inside the car, police said. When the officer approached, the driver rolled down his window and Auge smelled burning marijuana.
Auge found a bag of marijuana on the driver, identified as Daniel Matthew Thonet, 18, of the 6100 block of Springwater Place, police said. Inside the car, the officer found a bag of marijuana, a partially smoked marijuana cigarette, and a bag containing about 26 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, packaged for distribution.
Thonet told Auge that the passenger had nothing to do with the drugs in the car, so the passenger was not arrested, police said.
Thonet was arrested and taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center to be processed at Central Booking. He was charged with possession with the intent to distribute psilocybin mushrooms, possession of psilocybin mushrooms and possession of marijuana.

lesson here: dont do drugs in your car, or dont do drugs in your car when you have a shitload of mushrooms with you.

yep, that sucks. at least hes only 18. hell get probation, drug court or whatever.
