...that whenever a study comes out negatively regarding drugs most users here dismiss it but whenever a positive study comes out everyone jumps on the approval bandwagon. Should we really let ourselves fall into this bias or should we question all studies? What do you guys think?

Usually because the negative claims are bad science with little direct evidence and are funded by the government.
Also, people are very receptive to information that confirms or validates their personal experience.

There is nothing that can prove that NORML supporters(and others who are against the flow) are entirely of "good science". Of course, I like what they are doing. Its just that we trust the dissidents because they fit our agenda (as opposed to the gov't). We certainly need to look at both sides of the story to make wise decisions.
Having said that, Divided_Sky is dead on with his comments.

I always read drug articles good or bad. As an informed person I can usually determine wether the article was scietific or merely someones opinion. I don't think we should jump on either bandwagon I think we should not be close minded and open to all possibilities, even if the information provided is negative.
I mean we know that alcohol kills your liver but hey I still enjoy a good drunk.
I know smoking isn't good for your lungs but I still get high.
Bottom line is that we should all be intelligent people and read every article with a neutral opinion.

I've noticed this too. The way I look at it, we're just cheering for some good press in an endless sea of negative articles, despite how positive we consider our hobby.

I used to know many potheads that were always glorifying their weed. "Man, if the UN just got together and hit a fat bong, there would be no war."
I love how they always use other psychoactives as defense: "Well, uh...alcohol can kill you and is far worse than weed."
I know there are many benefits of cannabis. Because it is an entheogen, it should be treated with a little more respect, and not as used/abused as often. That's just me...

The NIDA. Maybe not in the same way though.
