Hey guys me again. Ok so pardon these pics being so dark but i just decided id try this.

I started fruiting my monotub last night, i decided to remove the lid because the tub i have as u can see is dark blue. So i put plastic wrap over the top so sunlight will come in from the top so the shrooms grow up. I used plastic wrap because it wont breathe, yet i perforated it for FAE. I kept polyfill in the holes so that the RH will hold. I have a cool mist humidifier running close to the tub, it keeps the RH around 50-55% outside the tub, i did this because its fairly dry out here so i figured id take RR's advice and humidify ambiently so that the tub would be able to hold a high RH easier.
Looking for any input on what you guys think, this is an educated method ive devised myself as a mixture of teks and thread reads, all input and suggestions welcome openly, thx.

wait, if the polyfill in the holes is there to keep moisture from getting out, how is it supposed to let ambient humidity from the cool mist in?

lol no the tub kinda self humidifies but since theres FAE i dont want the new air coming in to be so dry that it throws off the humidity in the tub, it doesnt completely keep all air and humidity out, i said the air is around 50% the tub had better be way higher than that lol. but thx for response i hope i cleared that up?

well its not a specific question, im just looking for input like what nico is saying, hmm we will see i suppose. do you think i should put the lid on at night when theres no light and remove it in the day for sunlight? being winter theres not many hours of light in the day anyway.

um...removing the lid is going to kill your humidity, so you should def leave that on almost all the time. (excepting any misting or maintenance you need to do) Cut a hole in the top for a light, then cover it with a piece of plexiglas, or similar transparent material to combine light with moisture retention.

Tubs with airstones add the perfect humidity, and FEA in my opinion.
I just put the airpump in a large ziplock with polyfill on the air intake side.
My first grow doing this pinned in 3 day with only a 1/4 casing. Here is day five of fruiting.
2 inch substrate, 1/4 inch casing. Coir coffee lime gypsum. with 50/50+ casing.
